150 Years of Detour
The Musée du Témiscouata launched the exhibition 150 Years of Détour in summer 2019, marking the 150th anniversary of the parish of Notre-Dame-du-Lac.
Created by the anniversary committee in collaboration with the Société d’histoire et d’archéologie du Témiscouata, this community exhibition invited the public to share and tell their local history.
Featuring around 40 photographs, numerous texts, and many personal stories, it traced the evolution of Notre-Dame-du-Lac from a small village with wooden sidewalks to the community it is today.
