Our Ethnological Collection
The collection of the Musée du Témiscouata is a living reflection of the history and daily life of the region’s communities.
Composed primarily of donations from local citizens, it brings together objects, documents, and material traces that tell the social, economic, and cultural story of Témiscouata.
Each donation enriches a shared heritage that the Museum is committed to preserving, studying, and showcasing.
Research
Research plays a central role in the Museum’s activities. Through the development of its exhibitions, the team conducts in-depth historical research to better understand and contextualize the evolution of the territory and its people.
In close collaboration with the Société d’histoire et d’archéologie du Témiscouata, the Museum also contributes to the production of a historical journal, helping to share knowledge about the region.
The Museum encourages research in all its forms. Researchers, students, history enthusiasts, and institutional partners are invited to contact the team to explore opportunities for collaboration, access to the collection, or joint projects.
