“Effervescence Terrestre” – Claudine Cousineau

A continuation of the exhibition Effervescence des matières brutes et vivantes, this exhibition presented a body of contemporary works created using natural media entirely handcrafted by artist Claudine Cousineau.

These works explored mineral and organic pigments sourced from nature for millennia, passed through cultures and rooted in traditions and cultural heritage related to colour, including our own.

This work created a dialogue between ancestral knowledge and contemporary research, where colour became both a trace of the past and a living material of the present. Its interpretations varied, as did its nuances and uses.
