Dive into the imagination of the Témiscouata region with the exhibition “Tell Me a Legend”, an invitation to discover the fascinating stories that have inhabited our territory for generations.
Drawn from an extensive collection project carried out by the Société d’histoire et d’archéologie du Témiscouata in collaboration with the MRC de Témiscouata, these legends reflect the richness of the region’s oral heritage. From tales of the devil and unexplained phenomena to founding stories and oral traditions passed down through generations, they reveal the beliefs, fears, and values of those who shaped our region.
Through testimonies, story excerpts, and contextual elements, the exhibition offers a journey between reality and imagination, where familiar places in Témiscouata take on a whole new dimension.
