Tell Me a Legend – Community Consultations

On December 9, 15, and 16, 2025, and January 19, 2026, the ociété d’histoire et d’archéologie du Témiscouata, in collaboration with the MRC de Témiscouata and Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent, organized several public consultations as part of the regional project “Tell Me a Legend.”

These meetings allowed participants to share traditional stories, legends of lakes and mountains, notable figures, and mysterious events to preserve collective memory and better understand the region’s intangible heritage.

The consultations took place in Pohénégamook, Dégelis, Cabano, Auclair, and Squatec, offering citizens, families, organizations, and history enthusiasts the opportunity to contribute their memories and testimonies.
